Apple – New iPhone, OS 4.0, and iTablet tomorrow?

Well folks, looks like tomorrow is the big day! I wonder what apple has got up it’s sleeve? With the rumour mill about to crash and burn, what are we likely to see? More importantly, what do we want?
I think we are going to see the rumoured iTablet device tomorrow, without a doubt. It will be interesting to see what features it has and how it changes the computing landscape. Even more compelling, is the thought that the iTablet (whatever its called) could do for computing what the iPhone did for mobile technology.
I would also like to see an update to the iPhone OS – we haven’t had one in a while, and I’m hoping that apple uses the opportunity to give us some background processing for applications, and a better home screen – which has already been rumoured. What do you want to be announced tomorrow?
Google Street View – Friend or Foe

Google Street view has upset some UK residents because they feel that privacy has been invaded by pictures being taken of their home or street.Is this because of paranoia or do the residents have a case?
I must admit it is a bit strange being able to walk down a virtual street a take a look at your home. And I guess there is obvious uneasiness about the whole world being able to look at your home on the internet. But is there a security risk? What information can be gleamed that would otherwise not be available?
In my opinion none. You can take a walk down any street, with a camera and photograph it. Would the residents come out or chase you down the road because you were invading their privacy? No.
I believe more harm can come to a person through someone hacking the home computer, and stealing personal information, than Google Street View.
Satellites with recon capability wiz over our heads everyday taking detailed pictures of our homes and back gardens. We appear on a surveillance camera in the UK more times in a day than anywhere else in the world. But what do we do about that?
All technology can be used for good and bad. Change can be scary. But sometimes we need to take a step back, and ask what are we really afraid of. Is it the pictures or the technology?
